SALTA

The city of Salta is located in the middle of the valley of its province, with San Bernardo's Hill (the local mountain) to the east and the lower Andes mountains to the west. It has a subtropical climate with lower temperatures of 3° Centigrade in winter and higher temperatures of 27° Centigrade in summer.

Salta is a colorful city founded on 1582 and it still keeps characteristics of its colonial past Just a walk through Salta's downtown will let you see that historic air, still alive.

So you can see through its “Gauchos” and its many religious festivities.

 


You cannot miss visiting “9 de Julio” Square with the Cathedral and the old City Hall. Just some blocks away you will find San Francisco's Church, Uriburu's Museum and San Bernardo's Monastery.
